Wayfair's Labor Day Clearance runs eleven days, but the 24-hour doorbusters are gone in the first few and the best stock goes with them. Vlingo flagged the countertop ice maker at $132.99 against $299.99 — $167 off, ordered the same evening.

A year of talking about an ice maker
I'd been talking about one of those countertop ice makers for about a year. The kind of thing you mention regularly and never actually buy. $299 felt like a lot for ice, and then it came up on Vlingo at $132, which is $167 off.
The sale runs eleven days, the deals don't
What I didn't know is that their Labor Day sale runs for eleven days but the actual deals don't. It started on the 29th and went through to the 8th, so you think you have over a week. The 24-hour doorbusters were done by the 2nd and the best of the stock went in the first few days.
I found that out the hard way the year before. I went and searched on the Saturday and everything decent was already gone.
Twenty emails a month, nineteen of them nothing
I really wouldn't have seen it without Vlingo, because Wayfair emails me constantly and I'd just stopped reading them properly. They all look the same and most of them are nothing.
That's the bit Vlingo actually sorts out. It's not that I don't get the emails, it's that I get twenty a month from one store and nineteen aren't worth opening. You get a flag when it's a real clearance rather than the usual deal, and I ordered it the same evening. It's been on the counter since and my husband uses it more than I do, which wasn't the prediction.
Where this matters most
Furniture and appliances are where it counts, I think. You're not saving four dollars, you're saving hundreds, and those are exactly the purchases you put off for a year and then buy at full price because you finally got round to it.
